As a future Software Engineer of Team Model e, you will be developing features and services for the connected battery electric cars of tomorrow. We are always looking for enthusiastic talents to continuously strengthen our software teams in the digital world of tomorrow.

You will be part of an ambitious team based in Cologne/Germany focusing on electrification as part of our global software team. We are a diverse and agile team working in a Scrum/Kanban approach that follows an open communication and feedback culture always aiming for customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

In close collaboration with the Product Owner, Product Manager and Product Designer you will deliver connected vehicle products and services to FORD customers. Key aspects are:
- Design, development, and support of robust, scalable, secure, distributed, cloud native, containerized and/or serverless microservices on public cloud infrastructure
- Analysis, specification, coding, testing and launching product increments in very frequent release cycles
- Follow a test-driven development approach to realize the technical solution
- Pair with other software engineers to cooperatively deliver user stories

Your Profile:


- Can really code

- Have an academic degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) related field, preferably Information Systems or Computer Science
- Are eager to learn, continuously improve yourself and do have a life-long learning mindset

- appreciate diversity and treat everyone with respect and consideration
- Are a communication talent and enjoy giving and receiving candid feedback
- Are experienced in CI/CD, TDD, Pair Programming & other industry standards and best practices
- Provide in-depth expertise in one or more of these areas: Java, Microservices, Cloud infrastructure, Spring Framework, Monitoring, Logging and/or DevOps
